Why Japanese Ginga

Ginga was born in Brazil, but in Japan it became a teachable method.

In Brazil, ginga is absorbed on the street over years. Generations of Japanese youth coaches studied it, broke it into steps, and refined it into a system: body rhythm, upper-body feints, first touch and changes of pace, trained in a fixed progression.

That is why it can be learned in a short camp. Players leave with drills they can repeat at home every day, not just a memory of a fun week.

What Players Work On
Body rhythm and footwork that unbalances defenders
Feints and body swerves in 1v1
Close control in tight spaces
Changes of pace and direction with the ball
Applying it all in small-sided games
